Já a Circle apresentou uma atuação bem mais limitada no mesmo período. A empresa congelou apenas 372 endereços, somando cerca de US$ 109 milhões em USDC, o que evidencia uma diferença expressiva de escala: as ações da Tether foram cerca de 30 vezes superiores às da Circle.
Essa disparidade reflete estratégias claramente distintas. A Tether adota uma postura ativa e preventiva, trabalhando em conjunto com 275 agências de aplicação da lei ao redor do mundo. Isso permite o bloqueio de endereços considerados suspeitos e o uso de um mecanismo de queima e reemissão de tokens para possibilitar a devolução de recursos às vítimas.
