On May 1st, spot ETFs saw nearly $630M in inflows in a single day, with BlackRock’s fund capturing almost half of that total. Institutional demand has clearly picked up again, reaching its strongest level since mid-April.
From a technical standpoint, most of the selling pressure below the $76,000 zone appears to have eased out, and the next major resistance is expected around $80,000.
However, caution is still important. CryptoQuant notes that this recent move has been largely driven by futures activity, while spot demand hasn’t fully matched the pace. Historically, moves like this—futures-led without strong spot support—often come before a short-term correction, so it’s not the time to get overly excited just because price is pumping.
