Right now, the global situation is very tense. In the Gaza Strip, a ceasefire still holds, but violations continue, and food insecurity remains severe. In the Gulf, Iran and a U.S.-Israel coalition launched strikes in late February, and though a ceasefire was announced in early April, attacks on oil facilities continue. In Lebanon, fighting between Hezbollah and Israel flared again in March, and a truce quickly broke down. Overall, these conflicts are driving up oil prices and raising fears of a global economic slowdown
