A policy engine is only as useful as the policies fed into it. Writing a policy that correctly captures a compliance requirement one that enforces the right things and doesn't accidentally block legitimate transactions requires translating legal or operational language into executable logic.
That translation sits in the space between legal specification and technical implementation and that space is where most institutional compliance efforts either succeed slowly or fail quietly.
What I keep wondering is what Newton provides to help with that translation. Templates cover common cases. Custom policies for specific jurisdictions or institutional specific requirements still need to be authored by someone.
Whether Newton's tooling makes that authoring accessible to non technical compliance teams or whether it still requires developer involvement for anything beyond defaults, is the detail I haven't found clearly documented yet.
