Trump said the person he chooses strongly supports aggressive rate cuts and wants to push economic growth. That alone is enough to shake markets, especially when it directly conflicts with the Fed’s current cautious stance.
Even though Jerome Powell’s term runs until May 2026, Trump is clearly trying to set the tone early and apply pressure toward easier policy.

Just this week, Powell kept rates unchanged at 3.5 to 3.75 percent, arguing that inflation is still at 2.9 percent while the Fed’s long term target remains 2 percent.
Trump’s view is the opposite. He has been very clear that the United States should have lower interest rates than any other country in the world.
At first, markets were split on who might get the nomination. Kevin Warsh and Rick Rieder were both sitting around 35 percent odds.

So who is Kevin Warsh?

His core philosophy is pretty clear. Monetary discipline comes first. Financial system stability matters more than short term growth. He is not the kind of policymaker who believes in unlimited liquidity.
When it comes to crypto, Warsh is not friendly. He does not see it as the future of finance and mostly views it through the lens of systemic risk and regulation.
So here is the honest takeaway.
If Kevin Warsh is selected, do not go bullish just because Trump talks about cutting rates. This is a very traditional figure, and what matters is how policy is actually executed once he is in the chair.
This is why BTC moved the way it did. Not because of one single bad number, but because expectations just got messy. And markets hate messy.

Once you see it, you really can’t unsee it. Ethereum has been carving out a 4+ year cup-and-handle structure, and it’s now deep into the loading phase.
This isn’t a short-term pattern or a speculative stretch it’s a multi-cycle formation that reflects years of accumulation, redistribution, and patience.
A minimum target of $10,000 for $ETH comes directly from this structure.
What’s amusing is how often that number gets laughed at. People scoff at $10k as if it’s some wild moonshot, conveniently ignoring a very simple fact: $10,000 is barely a 2x from ETH’s previous all-time high.
