UK’s Smarter Web Company Boosts Bitcoin Holdings to 773 BTC
The UK-based Smarter Web Company has increased its Bitcoin holdings by purchasing an additional 230.05 BTC for £17.97 million ($24.7 million), bringing its total investment in Bitcoin to over $82.6 million. The company’s average acquisition price per BTC is approximately £78,022 ($107,015). This move is part of Smarter Web’s “10-Year Plan” to accumulate Bitcoin as a core part of its Digital Assets Treasury Policy, aimed at enhancing long-term business value. The company also has about £38 million ($52.3 million) in cash reserved for future Bitcoin purchases. Smarter Web began accepting Bitcoin payments in 2023, reflecting its confidence in Bitcoin’s role in the global financial system, and joins a growing number of UK-listed firms adding Bitcoin to their treasuries.
