#CFTCCryptoSprint

The U.S. government, through its financial regulator called the CFTC, is starting a fast-track project to put into effect the previous administration's ideas for handling cryptocurrency. This project, nicknamed "Crypto Sprint," aims to tackle some long-standing problems in the crypto world, like deciding what is a security versus a commodity, how crypto markets should be structured, and how to best protect investors.

The CFTC is also working with the SEC (another U.S. financial regulator) on a joint initiative called "Project Crypto." The goal of this partnership is to provide clear rules for the crypto industry, encourage innovation, and ensure the U.S. remains a global leader in the digital economy.
