Venezuela has suspended 19 oil contracts that were signed under the Maduro government with small, lesser-known private companies.
This comes as the country’s new leadership and the U.S. review who is really behind these deals and whether they should be canceled.
At the same time, a new oil law is being rolled out to make it easier for big international players like Chevron, Eni, Repsol and Shell to come in and help rebuild production.
For now, exports continue, but the rules of the game in Venezuelan oil are clearly changing. 🌍🛢️
