What are peers?

▫️ Users who already have the file and share pieces of it with others

▫️ More peers = healthier, faster transfers

▫️ Fewer peers = slower speeds, buffering, or stalled downloads

Quick rule of thumb:

👉 Healthy torrent = many peers

👉 Unhealthy torrent = few or none

Think of peers as the “network strength” of a torrent—more people sharing means more bandwidth and better performance.

Engagement question: Have you ever tried downloading a file with zero peers? How long did you wait before giving up?
