Bearish Rectangle
A bearish rectangle is a continuation pattern.
It usually happens after a strong move down.
Then price starts moving sideways inside a box-like range.
This tells us:
• the market is pausing
• not reversing yet
• sellers may still be in control
When price breaks below the rectangle support, the downtrend often continues.
How traders use it:
• mark the high and low of the rectangle
• wait for breakdown
• avoid entering in the middle of the range
The biggest beginner mistake is thinking sideways movement always means reversal.
Sometimes sideways price action is just a pause before another drop. The pattern becomes stronger when volume or momentum supports the breakdown.
