Rising Wedge
A rising wedge looks bullish at first, but often becomes a bearish warning sign.
Price moves upward, but inside two rising trendlines that keep narrowing.
This tells us:
• price is still going up
• but momentum is slowing
• buyers may be losing strength
When the lower trendline breaks, price often falls.
That is why rising wedges can trap beginners.
They see higher candles and think the market is strong. But experienced traders look deeper:
Is price rising with strength, or just rising weakly inside a narrowing structure?
The wedge is a warning that the trend may be running out of energy.
Don’t just look at direction.
Look at the quality of the move.
Sometimes a weak rise leads to a sharp drop.
