$Seeing a lot of talk about #SolvProtocolHacked today.
From what’s being reported, an attacker exploited a smart contract bug in one of Solv Protocol’s vaults and managed to mint tokens repeatedly, then swap them for around 38 SolvBTC (~$2.7M).
The good news is the damage seems fairly limited, with only a small number of users affected, and the team says they plan to cover the losses.
They’ve also offered the hacker a 10% white-hat bounty if the funds are returned.
Situations like this are another reminder of something we often forget in DeFi:
One small smart contract bug can lead to millions in losses.
Security in crypto still matters more than hype.
