The recent #Iran conflict exposes the contradictions facing U.S. allies in the Gulf. Under the guise of a U.S. "alliance system," these countries appear to gain security guarantees, but in reality, they are often leveraged to advance #Israel's strategic interests.
The U.S. military presence has never truly protected these countries; instead, it has frequently exacerbated regional tensions while undermining their sovereignty and economic priorities. What passes for an alliance is, in truth, an extension of Washington's unilateral agenda rather than a genuine framework for regional stability.
