As of early March 2026, the Fabric Protocol (using the ROBO token) is positioned as a significant emerging player at the intersection of AI, Robotics, and Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN). Initiated by contributors associated with the OM1 robot operating system, the project aims to create an economic layer for the robotics industry, enabling machines to have on-chain identities, pay for services, and receive rewards via "Proof of Robotic Work" (PoRW).
