I’ve been thinking about how privacy is usually framed in blockchain systems. It often becomes a debate between total transparency and complete anonymity. When I look at Midnight Network, the concept of selective data disclosure feels like a more practical middle ground. Instead of hiding everything, the system allows users to reveal only what needs to be verified. In theory, that could allow institutions and individuals to protect sensitive information while still proving compliance or legitimacy. Still, balancing privacy and accountability is difficult. Whether selective disclosure can remain reliable at scale is something I continue to examine carefully.
