$BNB Abolfazl Shekarchi, a spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, warned that Iran will strongly retaliate if the United States attacks the oil facilities on Kharg Island in Iran.

He said that if such an attack happens, Iran will immediately respond by targeting and destroying oil and gas facilities in the country from which the attack was launched.

The warning was meant to show that Iran would not ignore any strike on its major oil infrastructure.
