I’ve been thinking that one of the most ignored parts of robot infrastructure is identity. A machine cannot really act in an economy until it can prove who it is, receive payments, and build a history that others can verify. Without that, robot work stays limited inside closed systems.
That’s why Fabric Foundation’s approach feels different to me. Instead of treating identity like an extra feature, it connects identity with payments and verification from the start. Robots can have wallets and persistent onchain identities, which means they don’t rely on traditional systems like bank accounts or passports.
What stands out is how practical this becomes. A wallet is not just for sending money. It helps a robot settle tasks, interact with services, and build a track record over time. For me, machine identity only starts to matter when it is usable, portable, and connected to real economic activity.
