On Friday, at about noon, unknown persons opened fire from pyrotechnics on the C-130 transport aircraft.
They did not hit the plane, but the crew recorded a bright flash and a loud bang.
Sources in the Bundeswehr note that such attacks on military aircraft are rare, although cases of blinding pilots with laser pointers are recorded repeatedly. According to preliminary data, the plane was shot with New Year's missiles. Given that the incident occurred at noon, they do not dismiss the possibility that it was a deliberate attack.
