HONG KONG RETIREE LOSES $840K IN CRYPTO SCAMS

A 66-year-old Hong Kong retiree lost HK$6.6M ($840,000) after falling victim to three related crypto investment scams run by self-proclaimed “virtual currency experts” who contacted him via WhatsApp, according to police.
