I Spent an Hour in the Mainnet Explorer Today
There's something strange about watching a network that isn't fully open yet.
I opened Midnight's explorer this morning expecting to see activity. What I found was 1,450 transactions. Not from users. From the 15 federated nodes configuring themselves for Monday.
Google Cloud. Vodafone. MoneyGram. eToro. Their validators are already talking to each other. The network is alive. We just can't write to it yet.
It reminded me of watching a theater before the house opens. The stage is set. The lights are tested. The performers are in place. All that's missing is the audience.
Three days. Then we see what happens when millions of people get to use what these institutions have been building.
For now, I just refresh the explorer. Watching the numbers inch up. Waiting for Monday.
