Why I Can’t Ignore Midnight Network Anymore
I almost dismissed Midnight Network without a second thought, and honestly that says more about the market than the project. I’ve read too many ideas that sound right but go nowhere, so I’ve built that instinct to move on fast. But this one stayed with me longer than I expected. Not because it’s loud or revolutionary, but because it feels uncomfortably precise. I keep coming back to the same thought: most systems don’t fail at verification, they fail at controlling what gets revealed.
What I see here isn’t another push for full privacy or full transparency. I see an attempt to deal with the space in between, where most real-world problems actually live. I think that’s why it feels different. I’ve started to question whether exposure was ever the right default in the first place. Maybe we confused visibility with trust for too long.
I’m still skeptical, and I should be. I’ve seen strong ideas collapse when they hit real adoption. But I can’t ignore the possibility that this is targeting something deeper than most projects dare to touch. If that’s true, then this isn’t just another idea.
It’s a test of whether the foundation itself needs to change.
