The countdown to trading of the $PAYP USDT Perpetual contract on Binance Futures, based on PayPal Corporation and trading under the ticker symbol PYPL, has just started, with a little over 18 minutes and 20 seconds remaining to trading opening!
Currently, the mark price shows as 0.00, due to the pre-launch / mark pricing not being activated yet, with a start time of approximately 22:30 hours (UTC+8) on 23 March 2026, which is approximately 7:11pm PKT for you in the area; however, there will be actual price movements once this occurs.
PYPL is currently trading in the area of $44-$45 USD; the most recent close price was around $44.01 but, depending on the latest market movement, session prices have been in the $44.50-$45+ area and moving upwards. With the availability of the new perpetual contract, market participants will have another opportunity to trade using up to 10x leverage on PayPal's stock without directly holding shares.
I would estimate that, when the new perpetual contract opens on Binance at approximately $44.50-$45.20 USD, the price will likely have a slight upward bias from current prices in the U.S. markets today, barring any major changes; however, volatility in this new product is likely to happen as traders begin to take long positions.
If, over the next few weeks, PayPal has a breakout above $45-$46 resistance, I would expect to see test $48+ during this timeframe and therefore anticipate positive results from the bulls.
Conversely, should the broad U.S. market selloff that has been ongoing continue through the next few weeks and into the summer months, I would expect PayPal to drop back to support around $40-$42; therefore, I would recommend maintaining a long position until further confirmation arises.
What's your play—will you go long or short when trading opens on the $PAYP
