WHAT IS BITCOIN?
Bitcoin is a digital currency, created in 2009 by an anonymous person or group of people using the name Satoshi Nakamoto. It operates on a decentralized network called blockchain, which records all transactions. Bitcoin isn’t controlled by any government or central authority, making it unique compared to traditional currencies. People can buy, sell, and trade it, and it’s known for being volatile in value. It also allows for peer-to-peer transactions without intermediaries, offering privacy and security.We have recently received feedback from our community about Square’s algorithm. Based on this input, we are updating our recommendation algorithm for English language content to focus on two key areas that matter most to the community: meaningful engagement and trades.
