There’s something slightly uncomfortable I can’t shake, the more a system proves everything, the harder it becomes to question anything inside it.
I didn’t think like this when I first looked at Midnight and @SignOfficial
Back then, it felt clean in my head.
Money flows tracked.
Identity verified.
Capital distributed.
And underneath it all… this quiet evidence layer holding everything together.
Simple.
But the more I think about how S.I.G.N. actually runs in the real world… the more that simplicity feels misleading.
Because what happens after everything is recorded, signed, and “inspection-ready”… is where things get strange.
No one re-checks.
Institutions rely on attestations like they’re final truth, not snapshots of a moment under a specific ruleset.
And over time, accountability doesn’t disappear… it shifts.
From people → to systems
From judgment → to schema
From questioning → to querying
And if something subtle breaks… it doesn’t look like failure.
It just gets… indexed.
I keep thinking about that.
If $SIGN becomes the layer that remembers everything…
who’s responsible for noticing when something shouldn’t have been remembered that way?
