Bitcoin Transaction Costs Reach Lowest Point Since 2017, Despite High Demand

The average Bitcoin transaction fee has dropped below $0.40, the lowest since 2017, in spite of high daily transaction counts. Analyst Darkfost attributes this decrease to the implementation of inscriptions, a technical adjustment reducing the weight of transactions in each block, thereby lessening competition for block space. This change has led to lower fees without a decrease in activity. Furthermore, Bitcoin's value has been unstable due to conflicts in the Middle East, but its transaction volume remains stable. Analysts note that the current market seems to be trading within a wide band, specifically between $60,000 and $80,000. The reduced transaction costs are coinciding with a period of price consolidation and cautious market positioning.
