the difference matters for sovereign infrastructure. a UAE attestation being verified by a Saudi system may live on a completely different chain. Sign’s cross-chain model uses TEE-based verification through Lit Protocol to make that attestation just as valid on the destination chain as it was on the source.

each cross-chain result is signed by 2/3 of the entire Lit network using threshold cryptography. that’s not a bridge. that’s a verification consensus mechanism.
