Bhutan has quietly sold approximately 70% of its Bitcoin holdings, from around 13,000 BTC in October 2024 down to 3,954 BTC ($280.6 million).

The country appears to have slowed down or paused its hydroelectric Bitcoin mining operations, having not recorded any new BTC in over a year.
