When the meeting between Iran and the U.S. took place in Pakistan, people thought the war would finally stop. But the real purpose was something else. For Trump, the meeting in Pakistan was just an excuse. His actual plan was to try to send his Marine ships towards the Strait of Hormuz, but he was not successful.

Trump doesn’t really want the war to end; he mainly wants to pressure Iran into submission while showing the world that he has won. However, many people believe that Iran actually forced the U.S. to step back.
