$HYPE — Everything Just Changed This Week
Three major developments just landed for Hyperliquid. Here's what you need to know.
1. HYPE ETF is Coming
Bitwise filed a second amendment for its spot HYPE ETF under ticker $BHYP with a 0.67% fee on April 10. Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst flagged the update as a signal that launch could be imminent. (Bitcoin News) Grayscale and 21Shares have also filed their own S-1s, joining the race to offer institutional HYPE exposure. (Coin Edition) A European HYPE ETP is already live on Deutsche Börse.
2. Priority Fees — New Demand for $HYPE
Hyperliquid rolled out a new priority fee system where traders pay in HYPE to gain faster order execution priority. This directly increases demand for the token with every trade on the platform. (MEXC)
3. Whales Are Accumulating Hard
Arthur Hayes added 26,022 HYPE for $1.1M — his first major buy in nearly three months. A separate fresh wallet deposited 5 million USDC onto Hyperliquid and deployed $2.39M into 59,239 HYPE. (BanklessTimes)
The Numbers Behind It
Hyperliquid now holds over 70% of open interest across all decentralized perpetual contracts, with daily volume hitting $8.28 billion — exceeding the combined figures of its four closest competitors. (U.Today)
ETF approval + priority fees + whale buying + dominant market share. The setup is rare.
$150 target by August 2026 is looking less like a prediction and more like a roadmap.
