I’ve noticed something about Pixels that I don’t really see much in other Web3 games… it doesn’t rush you into ownership early 📊
Most Web3 games feel gated the moment you start progressing — like “buy this or you’re stuck.” But Pixels feels different. You can just play. Walk around, farm, explore, and figure things out at your own pace. No pressure. That’s the part that actually makes people stay longer than expected.
It’s not perfect, but the experience feels more open and user-first.
Chapter 2 also didn’t feel like a lazy update. It actually expanded the world properly. New skills like Stoneshaping and Metalworking weren’t just cosmetic — they changed how you play. Extra recipes and industries didn’t just add noise, they made the game feel bigger, not just busier.
Overall, Pixels works best when monetization comes later, not first. Let users get comfortable, build attachment, and feel part of the world — ownership should be a second step, not the entry barrier.
That’s usually what keeps retention strong in Web3 games 📈
