BERRY is gone. What's next?

Last week I finally sat down and figured out how the currency in @Pixels actually works. Not because I wanted to — I just saw that Chapter 2 is coming and realised I didn't fully understand what exactly is being replaced.
I used to think BERRY was just "in-game gold". Farm it, spend it,nothing special.
Turns out PIXEL and BERRY are two diffrent layers. PIXEL is your entry ticket and governance tool. BERRY is what you earn inside by actually playing.
The problem: players were dumping BERRY through DEX non-stop. Constant sell presure on price. The @Pixels team admitted it — and Chapter 2 removes BERRY entirely.
What replaces it? One single currency. Simpler — but does that kill the incentive to farm?
I genuinely don't know.
