Among the top performers on the MOEX Russia Index were Rosneft PJSC (MCX:ROSN), which rose 2.38% or 10.20 points to close at 438.15. TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX:TATN_p) also gained, climbing 2.13% or 11.40 points to finish at 546.60, while TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin (MCX:TATN) advanced 1.94% or 11.00 points to close at 578.50.
As for the worst performers at the close of trading, Polyus PJSC (MCX:PLZL) shares closed down 1.20%, or 27.20 points, at 2,236.00. GMK Norilskiy Nikel PAO (MCX:GMKN) shares fell 0.99%, or 1.40 points, to 136.30, while Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX:CBOM) shares closed down 0.79%, or 0.06 points, at 7.77.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Exchange by 162 to 68, while 17 remained unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index (RVI), which measures the implied volatility of options on the MOEX Russia Index, traded unchanged at 0.00%, closing at 20.45.
Gold futures for June delivery rose 1.48%, or $71.30, to settle at $4,879.60 an ounce.
