Pixels isn't a game. It's land management with consequences

Sat down last week just to understand how the economy actually works in @Pixels . Expected another pay-to-win thing with nice graphics. Got something different.
Players grow, harvest, craft. Every resource has a source — specific plot, specific tool, specific timing. Not random. Not "tap and wait".
PIXEL is the core currency. It's not just distributed — it gets spent on upgrades, NFT minting, zone access. So there's a real reason not to dump it immediately.
What I can't figure out: when an economy runs on resources that players themselves extract — who actually controls the price? The market? The team? The biggest landowners?
I don't have the answer. But it doesn't feel like a rhetorical question either.
