KelpDAO has blamed LayerZero for an April cross-chain bridge exploit that siphoned about 116,500 rsETH—roughly $292 million—claiming the breach stemmed from a compromised 1:1 validator setup that LayerZero staff had approved. In response, KelpDAO said it is moving off LayerZero and adopting Chainlink’s CCIP for cross-chain messaging to strengthen security.
