💁🏼♂️Day 2/365: What exactly is a "Blockchain"? ⛓️
💁🏼♂️Yesterday we talked about Decentralization. Today, let’s look at the engine that makes it work: The Blockchain.
Imagine a digital notebook (a ledger) where every transaction is recorded.🤷🏻♂️
• The "Block": This is like a single page in the notebook filled with transaction data.
• The "Chain": Once a page is full, it’s "linked" to the previous page using a unique digital seal.
Why is this a big deal?🤷🏻♂️
1. No Erasers: Once a block is added, you can’t change it. This is why it’s "Immutable."🎉
2. Total Transparency: Everyone on the network has a copy of this notebook. You can’t cheat the system because everyone else’s notebook would show you're lying!
In the old world, we trusted humans. In the crypto world, we trust math and code.
Did you know the first blockchain was created for Bitcoin in 2009? 🧐
