Don not think $XRP was ever created with a low price in mind. Its goal was always institutional settlement. As crypto pundit BarriC often says, anything between $2 to $10 for XRP is purely retail activity, whereas $1K+ and up becomes the place where adoption is no longer optional but a necessity. Institutional actors require less XRP in their ledger to transfer trillions of dollars. As such, its price needs to skyrocket. The former Ripple CTO seems skeptical about $10K price, while Ripple fans believe in $46K. Which reality do you believe in retail aspirations or institutional calculations??
