Following a period of outflows, US spot BTC ETFs recorded a significant net inflow of $131.32 million on May 14, 2026. This surge reversed a massive $635 million outflow on May 13, the largest single-day exit since January 2026, indicating renewed confidence in Bitcoin's price stability, with the price hovering around $80,000 to $82,000.

13F Filings: Newly released 13F filings show institutions are strengthening positions, with JPMorgan Chase increasing its stake in IBIT by 174% in Q1 2026.

Solana Treasury Gains & Accumulation

While spot Bitcoin ETFs dominate headlines, corporations with Solana (SOL) treasuries have been actively increasing their holdings and staking to improve yields, despite high volatility and temporary unrealized losses.

Upexi Inc. Strategy: Upexi Inc. reported a 9% increase in its SOL holdings during the first three months of 2026. The firm is utilizing staked SOL to increase its SOL per share, with plans to increase staking rewards through validator partnerships.

DeFi Development: DeFi Development held over 2.29 million SOL and SOL equivalents, a 3% increase since late March 2026. They reported a 108% increase year-over-year in their Solana per share (SPS) metric.

Staking Yields: These treasuries are benefiting from approximately 6, 7% APY via staking, which contributes to overall treasury growth regardless of short-term price fluctuations, note Solana Company.
