According to the report, some officials allegedly floated the idea that instead of direct US involvement, UAE forces could take the lead on the ground if escalation continues.
Lavan Island, a key Iranian location in the Gulf, was also reportedly linked to earlier covert activity said to involve Emirati operations during a period of rising regional tensions and closer UAE–Israel security cooperation.
