The crypto market cooling off again doesn’t feel random to me. This time macro pressure looks like the main driver.
Inflation is still running hotter than many expected oil prices jumped, and suddenly the rate cuts soon narrative started fading again. When markets think interest rates could stay higher for longer risk assets usually feel the pressure first and crypto is no exception.
Bitcoin dropping below key levels added fuel to the selloff. Once BTC starts slipping leverage across the market gets exposed fast and liquidations only make the move heavier.
What I’m watching most right now is the $77K area for Bitcoin. If buyers can hold that level, this may turn into consolidation. But if momentum weakens further we could see broader market pressure continue.
At the same time regulatory developments are still in the background. Positive news can help sentiment but right now macro conditions seem to be leading the story.
For me the bigger question is this just another fear-driven reset or are markets slowly pricing in a longer high rate environment? 👀
