Most AI projects in crypto still feel like narratives searching for liquidity. OpenLedger caught my attention for a different reason.

The more I looked into it, the less it felt like a typical “AI + blockchain” pitch and more like an attempt to solve a real coordination problem. Right now, AI is massively centralized data sits in silos, compute is controlled by a few giants, and developers depend on closed ecosystems. OpenLedger is betting that crypto can organize those fragmented resources into an open network where data, models, compute, and AI agents can actually interact economically.

That’s the part most people miss. This isn’t really about replacing AI companies. It’s about building infrastructure for machine coordination itself.

Still early. Still risky. Token incentives can attract mercenary participation, and decentralized systems only work if real usage survives after the hype fades.

But compared to most AI narratives floating around this cycle, this one at least feels connected to where technology is actually moving toward autonomous systems interacting with each other, not just humans clicking apps.
