I don’t think the Mag 7 trade is “dead,” but I do think the easy-money phase is over.
Nvidia is still the monster in the room. Its latest quarterly revenue hit $81.6B, up 85% year over year, and data center revenue nearly doubled to $75.2B. That is not hype. That is actual demand.
But here’s the funny part: even with those numbers, investors still worried about slower future growth. That tells me the market is no longer rewarding big tech just for saying “AI” every 12 seconds.
For me, $NVDA still looks like the real stalwart because the revenue is already showing up. But some Mag 7 names feel more like expensive promises now. If AI spending keeps rising but profits don’t follow fast enough, the market will get impatient.
My take: Mag 7 is not one single trade anymore. It is becoming a stock-picker’s game. Some are engines. Some are just wearing expensive sunglasses.
Which Mag 7 stock do you trust most for the next cycle?
