Crypto community is celebrating the 16th anniversary of Bitcoin Pizza Day 🍕

🗓 On May 22, 2010, programmer Laszlo Hanyecz posted on BitcoinTalk:

“I’ll pay 10,000 BTC for a couple of pizzas… maybe even have some left for the next day.”

Someone actually took the deal, ordered him 2 pizzas from Papa John’s, and delivered them.

At the time, those 10,000 BTC were worth about $41.

Today, that same amount is worth roughly $774 million 👌

It became the first real-world purchase ever made with Bitcoin - a historic moment proving BTC could be used as actual money.

Laszlo still says he doesn’t regret it, because it marked a turning point for Bitcoin adoption.

Would you regret it ⁉️

🔥 — Yes! $774M is insane

❤️ — No!it was worth it for history $BTC
