A few months ago I genuinely thought AI was becoming simple.
Social media made it sound effortless.
“AI agents will replace workflows
“Anyone can build with AI now.”
Just plug in automation and let the machine work.”
But the moment I actually tried exploring the space myself, the illusion disappeared fast.
Every platform expected technical knowledge.
APIs.
Model hosting.
GPU infrastructure.
Fine-tuning.
Deployment layers.
It felt like the future everyone kept talking about was still locked behind complexity most normal
people would never fully understand.
That’s why projects like OpenLedger started standing out to me.
Not because they scream “AI” louder than everyone else.
But because they seem focused on the invisible layer underneath the hype infrastructure, attribution, transparency, and ownership.
And honestly, the more I think about AI, the more one question keeps bothering me:
If intelligence is being built collectively from millions of human contributions every day…
why do only a few centralized players capture most of the value once the systems become successful?
Maybe the next evolution of AI is not just smarter models.
Maybe it’s fairer participation.
