Somewhere along the way Genius stopped feeling like a crypto app. Started feeling more like a permission layer for machines.
This is not in the way people think about artificial intelligence taking over. It is more in a way that affects how people behave.
I noticed this when people in the Genius community stopped talking about their work like it was completely theirs. People would say things like the model suggested this direction or the agent handled most of the sorting already. At first I thought they were just being lazy with their words.. After spending time in the Genius ecosystem I think the way people think is actually changing.
The way people think about ownership in Genius is different now. It is not as strong as it used to be.
A months ago people still thought of machine outputs as temporary help. Now it seems normal for someone to accept decisions made by machines without needing to know everything about the process. Even when people in the community disagree it is not about what's true anymore. It is more about which system should be in charge.
This has been on my mind for a while.
I also noticed that the people who stay active in the Genius community are not the ones who talk the most. The people who remain seem comfortable letting systems work in the background without being recognized all the time. It is like they are okay with being part of it without needing to be in control.
Maybe Genius is making it so that systems can work together with people easily.
This is not about people doing what they are told. About making it easier for people and machines to work together.
I still do not know if Genius is helping people trust machines or just getting people used to letting machines make some decisions.
Maybe it is hard to tell the difference between these two things.
Maybe they will seem the same after a while.
