US and Iranian negotiators have reached a tentative agreement to extend the ceasefire by 60 days and begin new nuclear talks. It still needs approval from President Trump and Iranian leadership. Vice President JD Vance called it "very close" but "still TBD."

Recent exchanges include US strikes on Iran, Iranian missile attacks (including on Kuwait), and disputes over the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides appear to want to avoid full-scale war.

Pakistan has offered to host/facilitate talks between the two sides.
