I’ve spent enough years in crypto to stop reacting when projects say they’re “building the future.” Most of the time, that sentence shows up right before the narrative changes and everyone quietly moves on. That’s why OpenLedger caught my attention in a strange way — not because I believed it immediately, but because the problem underneath it feels real. AI is becoming infrastructure, yet almost all of it is controlled by a handful of companies. OpenLedger wants to build an economy around data, models, and AI agents where contributors can actually participate instead of just feeding centralized systems for free. Maybe it’s too ambitious. Maybe it’s another crypto story wrapped around a trend. But I can’t fully dismiss it either. And these days, that’s rare enough to matter.
