I have been watching the AI narrative for months, but OpenLedger is one of the few projects that made me stop and rethink where this industry is actually heading.
At first, I assumed it was just another AI blockchain trying to ride the trend. But the deeper I researched, the more I realized OpenLedger is really focused on something bigger: who gets rewarded when AI creates value.
That changes the conversation completely.
Right now, most AI systems operate like black boxes. Data providers, model builders, contributors, and even users help improve the ecosystem, yet almost nobody upstream gets recognized once value is generated. I think OpenLedger is trying to build the missing economic layer behind AI.
The recent Mainnet launch, attribution infrastructure, and ecosystem expansion around modular AI models tell me this project is thinking long term. Instead of only chasing compute power, it is building rails for ownership, contribution tracking, and value distribution.
What really caught my attention is the idea that AI may eventually behave more like a supply chain than a single product. If that happens, attribution becomes infrastructure.
And honestly, I think most people still underestimate how important that could become.
