The Fallacy of TVL
Total Value Locked (TVL) is a highly manipulated metric.
A project can inflate its TVL by looping the same capital through multiple lending protocols or counting native tokens with artificial valuations. High TVL without high transaction volume and active daily users is a ghost town waiting to collapse.
