A Polymarket user, AdrianCronauer, has reportedly lost over $2 million in a hacking incident, according to Foresight News. Community member Cajetan shared the news on social media, revealing that the user was deceived by a fraudulent webpage, leading them to enter an OTP verification code. This allowed the hacker to extract the funds.
Polymarket's Vice President of Engineering, Josh Stevens, commented that the team is collaborating with the affected user and relevant exchanges to freeze the stolen funds. Additionally, the team is exploring the implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and other features to enhance account security for users.
