The strongest criticism of OPEN is fair: a token cannot create real AI demand by itself. Ecosystem growth only matters if usage becomes repeatable after incentives fade.

Still, OpenLedger’s design makes the question more interesting. Its docs describe OPEN as the token used for gas, inference, model-building fees, and contributor rewards through Proof of Attribution. That means OPEN is not only positioned around trading attention, but around whether data contributors, model builders, validators, and users can share one economic loop.

My concern is simple: can attribution stay accurate when activity becomes heavy? If rewards depend on contribution impact, the system must resist spam, weak data, and inflated participation. For me, OPEN drives growth only if it turns AI contribution into durable accountability, not temporary campaign energy.
